There’s surprisingly little mystery as to how actors make a career in Hollywood. It has almost NOTHING to do with luck. After casting this show, it’s become exceptionally clear from a casting director’s point of view who succeeds, who fails, and how. An actor might be beautiful and unique starring in their community theatre production of ‘Our Town’ in Nowhere, Middle America, but to succeed in Hollywood, they must know that they’re going up against the best and the brightest in the world. Anyone coming to this town to work in this industry must be prepared and be professional. Everyone who is dogged in their pursuit will get a chance. It might come sooner or it might come later, that’s the only way luck plays into it. The only question becomes: Will an actor capitalize on their precious few chances or will they blow it?
